I got myself an olive tree from a man in a van rocking up to my house one sunny afternoon. I decided to have a go at building my own wooden plant box for the little fella.
Design & Concept
I built my wooden plant box from slatted wood, sanded and cut to measure, with a finish to protect it from the elements with drainage holes at the base with tarp to hold the soil.
Planting & Finishing Touches
Transplanting the olive tree was easier said than done. I had to ensure the olive tree had the right amount of soil and root space. I asked the bloke I purchased the tree from what he recommended and went with that, the thing has survived a year so far so seems to be doing fine. I recently added some charm to the little fella, by adding lighting around the olive tree.
